In the increasingly competitive market environment, it is not easy for the leather industry to achieve such good results in China’s leather processing plants, which can also prove the strong vitality of China’s leather industry. The potential of leather products in the market is very large. Under the total global demand for leather, it is about 100 million square meters. Like the current output of 300 million pieces of cow leather, the equivalent standard of leather output in China is about 70 million pieces, accounting for about 20% of the global leather output, which can be faced up to by enterprises in China’s leather footwear and related industries. There are many deficiencies in many aspects of our 21st century, and for China, China is a large leather producing country in the world, but it is not a leather power. Although we are in a weak position in terms of quality and value, we need to constantly improve and hone in this market environment.
In terms of moisture absorption, moisture drainage and air permeability of leather, it is unmatched by other fabrics and chemical fiber fabrics. In the natural state, the completely dry leather contains 15% of the moisture. Under normal circumstances, when the water carrying capacity of suede leather can reach 70% of its weight, the main leather surface is relatively dry, and there is no sense of moisture in wearing. In addition, the leather itself has a porous body with three-dimensional interweaving of protein fibers and super large specific surface. There are about 1 million micropores per square inch. Because this structure will bring good air permeability to the leather, the air permeability per square meter per hour can reach more than 1000 liters under a pressure of 1mm Hg. For this valuable moisture absorption, moisture removal and air permeability, it can give clothing and footwear rare hygiene and comfort.
Synthetic leather and laminated leather have non-woven base and textile base, which are coated with polyurethane and treated with special foaming. From the surface, they feel very like leather, but they are inferior to leather in terms of wear resistance, air permeability and cold resistance. So how should we distinguish them?
It has its own special natural pattern on the leather surface of the real leather, and it is very natural in the luster of the leather surface. When pressing and pinching the leather surface by hand, the leather surface has no dead wrinkles or cracks; Although the leather surface of artificial leather is more like real leather, we can see that the pattern is not very natural, and it is brighter and brighter than real leather in terms of luster. When we press the leather surface with our fingers, there are no obvious pores and wrinkles, and there will be wrinkles after pressing, so there will be no obvious disappearance. In terms of leather body, the leather feel is soft and tough. Although it is very soft in terms of imitation leather products, it is relatively weak in terms of toughness, and the leather body will harden in cold weather. When we use our hands to bend the leather body, the leather is more natural and curved, and the elasticity is relatively good. In terms of imitation leather products, the movement is stiff and curved, and the elasticity is poor.
The leather at the incision is very consistent in color, and the fine places can be clearly seen. Because the imitation leather products without the sense of leather incision fiber can see the resin or fiber at the bottom, or the two layers between resin bonding and backing cloth can be seen at the incision. Inside the smooth and flat leather with patterns or pores on the front, there are obvious fiber bundles on the back, and there are plush and uniform places. In some synthetic leather front and back and imitation leather products, where there are no pores on the surface, there are also leather like places inside and outside, and there are leather fluff inside, which requires us to constantly and carefully observe the differences between real and fake leather in this regard.
The environment of tannery is full of dirty smell and hygiene problems, because there are different situations in different times. Therefore, for us, there is no need to avoid it deliberately. In the long history of tanning, the working environment is indeed dirty and indecent. On the one hand, there will be a smell in the workshop. However, this phenomenon has been gradually improved in the process of tanning industrial modernization. There is no dirty smell in medium-sized tanning plants with an investment scale of more than tens of millions and tanning enterprises entering modern management procedures. Furthermore, it is absolutely impossible to draw an equal sign between odor and poison. Things with fragrance may not be toxic to human body, such as organic solvent banana water, which can make people happy. These are things that are very toxic to the body.
