How is leather mainly made?

For the leather factory, it is necessary to clarify how the leather is mainly made. The first step is Liming, which is mainly carried out after slaughtering. The raw skin is salted and then washed with water. And in this process, the unwanted impurities and fat in the fur should be removed to facilitate later processing. In terms of sheet layer, the horizontal sheet of leather can be divided into two layers with a leather knife, from which the first layer and the second layer can be obtained. We should pay attention to that the fibers in the first layer will be closer than the second and third layers, and the first layer will be softer, more tear resistant and higher in price. Tanning can often be made through many tanning preparations, and the most commonly used is chromium powder. After tanning, leather can bring some blue, which is why the raw leather we produce after tanning is blue wet leather. The purpose of tanning in this case is to ensure that the leather can be preserved for a long time and will not deteriorate. Through the process of dyeing leather, we can ensure that the leather surface and interior will be dyed accordingly. After our dyeing step, we can see that the wet blue skin slowly turns into a skin embryo.

In terms of classification, various kinds of leather can be made according to different expected uses and natural characteristics, mainly including oil wax leather, finishing leather, two-layer coated leather, aniline leather, frosted leather and semi aniline leather. When we polish and use sanding paper, we can polish the top layer and make its surface smoother at the same time, so as to remove most of the natural marks. While the full grain leather is continuously polished, obvious marks and defects cannot appear, so it is of relatively higher value than the coated leather. The finishing leather that can only be used for modification can well cover some defects on the leather after modification. And it can make the color more consistent. When you use roller embossing or take your electric heating plate to press out the required texture, you can better hide the corresponding natural mark and the corresponding transparent top coating solid color, so as to prevent its fading, and protect the leather well, so as to increase the luster and feel. In terms of top coating protection leather or top coating protection, due to erosion stains, it can well prevent the continuous color channeling of clothes. When we use non professional cleaners, it will continue to damage the top coating. After our top coat is broken, the leather looks clean, but the surface becomes more sticky and the clothes show more color channeling.
